We had 7,623 rounds of golf played in November which was 377 rounds (4.7%) down on budget and 27 (0.4%) up on November 2022. Unfortunately, a very wet end to the month (with no carts) kept the rounds down slightly. There were 4,642 rounds played at Hilltop and 2,981 rounds played at Beachside. At Hilltop, 75% of the rounds were from members with 25% from visitors. At Beachside, 59% of rounds were from members with 41% from visitors. There were 2,338 competition rounds played at Hilltop with 34 players scoring 40 points (68 nett or +4) or better last month. Some fantastic scores last month including 16 year old Wade Carson, who shot 52 points. It was Wade's first competition game after months of practice at our Beachside course which obviously paid off. Wade also lost 20 shots in one go from his handicap which may be a record, Apparently Wade has gone from being the 4th best golfer in the family straight to #1! Congratulations to Michael Charles who shot an amazing 47 points. Michael's handicap also lost a "few shots". 42 points was a popular score last month with Terry Parkes, Paul Manning, Keith Date, Bob Johnston, Stephen Wykes and Debbie Lees all scoring 42 points. Eagle Brigade... 13th Hole - Richard Shearman Hole In Ones... Peter Jackson made an ace on the 17th Hole on the 5th November and Chris McLean ("Golf Shop Chris") scored his first Hole In One on the 12th Hole on the 15th November.
Please note the member's scores from the WPGA Pro-Am event did not count for eagles or acknowledgements above due to the scramble format with the tee shots. Congratulations to Mark Hale from Mudgee GC who won the 2023 Mollymook Senior Open with a one over par 73. Mark won by 2 shots from Buddy Nagi from Kogarah GC. Our members featured in the Nett results with Frank Lampe winning the nett with 70 by one shot from Eddy De Marco. |
